Posting Note: The Pediatric Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team provides primarily inpatient support for pre and post op general surgery patients. The APP team works closely with our pediatric surgery fellows and surgical residents on their pediatric rotation. The APP will be expected to round daily with the attending, fellow, and residents, implement the plan for the day and follow up on patient response, enter orders, be the primary contact for nursing and family questions, assist with writing notes as needed, and facilitating discharges. The APP assists with new surgical consults as needed based on resident availability. The APP currently provides coverage 7 days a week with the goal of expanding to 24 hour coverage.
