Anchoring our health care system is a 287-bed medical center with campuses in Augusta and Waterville.

MaineGeneral Medical Center's services include:

  • A full range of inpatient and outpatient surgery
  • Diagnostic services
  • Substance abuse and mental health services
  • Cancer care
  • Maternity services and newborn and child health programs

The Jackman Region Health Center in northern Somerset County, which is part of the medical center, provides physician office services and an 18-bed nursing home.

Our Physicians
The 250+ physicians on our active medical staff come from some of the country's finest medical schools and training programs and provide an array of specialty services from anesthesiology to urology.

Our Patients
We serve patients from more than 80 cities and towns throughout the Kennebec Valley region, providing them with the broad spectrum of services they need for every phase of their lives.

Our Commitment to the Kennebec Valley
Our mission is to enhance, every day, the health of the people of the greater Kennebec Valley.

We follow this mission with a forward-looking vision of focusing on clinical excellence, customer satisfaction, financial stability and positively impacting the health of our community each day.

Consider becoming a part of MaineGeneral Health’s expansion and growth! MaineGeneral has received state approval to move forward with a $322 million new regional hospital project.

We are on the verge of creating something incredible that will reshape health care in our region for generations to come for the people and communities that we serve. We’re on track to open the new hospital as early as the end of the fourth quarter of 2014 and complete renovations to our Thayer Campus in Spring 2015.
