Working under the supervision of the Director of Community Initiatives, the Bilingual Health Home Care Manager has the responsibility of assisting eligible families, children and youth to provide access to services assuring they have everything necessary to stay healthy, out of the emergency room and out of the hospital. EMERGENCY MEDICINE AND TRAUMA SERVICES Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center (EMTC) is a tertiary care, Level 1 trauma center located on the first floor of the Sheikh Zayed Campus on Michigan Ave NW. The EMTC-Sheikh Zayed Campus is comprised of six distinct patient care areas: 1. 36 ED patient rooms 2. Two Code Rooms (4 beds) 3. 4 bed area designed for psychiatric patients 4. 18 decontamination showers with ability to utilize psychiatric area for Decontamination Zone. 5. 6-bed Rapid Treatment Unit (RTU)   The Satellite Pediatric Emergency Department is located at the United Medical Center on Southern Ave SE and operates 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. The 12-month Pediatric Nurse Residency Program, also known as our Transition to Practice Program (TPP), is designed to provide the nurse resident with an opportunity to transition into the role of a professional nurse under the guidance and support of our clinical nursing staff, nurse educators and program facilitators. The program includes a Human Resources orientation, a Unit-Based orientation, and acute and critical care tracks. The acute and critical care tracks include curricula designed to augment the learning experience for the nurse resident through professional development and to achieve the overall goals of the program. The acute care track includes nurse residents from inpatient acute care, radiology, psychiatry and peri-operative services. The critical care track includes nurse residents from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department (at Sheikh Zayed Campus and United Medical Center).
