The Ambulatory Nurse Manager for the Surgical Clinics has the primary responsibility for the operational, clinical and educational functions of clinical staff in the assigned areas.
This position manages clinical staff members and has oversight of our ambulatory surgical clinics. Collaborates with 30 faculty members who complete an estimated 20,000 clinical visits per year in a shared clinic location at the CHLA Main Campus. The Manager will supervise all clinical staff and plan programs that facilitate the development of staff while maintaining a team approach to the shared responsibilities. Collaborates with the physician leadership and clinical staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the Ambulatory Care Services areas. Responsible for maintaining skills of the staff and ensures that all policies/procedures are age and/or developmentally appropriate. The Manager will function as a change agent and will demonstrate commitment to a patient and family focused model of care.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
2+ years of recent pediatric experience required along with Management experience with previous fiscal management experience is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or relevant health related field from an accredited school required and a Master’s Degree is required along with a current CA RN license.
