The Internal Transport Registered Nurse is under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, transports patients throughout the hospital that require a licensed transport due to monitoring in accordance with our transport policy, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Employee will follow applicable policies and producers in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

Minimum Experience: One year experience as an RN in pediatrics

License, Registration or Certification Required: CA RN license required and American Heart Association BLS and PALS certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Able to conduct activities requiring a moderate amount of standing, sitting, walking, and climbing
2. Able to conduct activities requiring a moderate amount of static pushing, pulling, and lifting with proper body mechanics
3. Capable of lifting 93 pounds floor to approximately waist height using proper body mechanics
4. Capable of lifting 24# from floor to overhead using proper body mechanics
