Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse Lead provides clinical and administrative supervision for a designated shift. Provides front-line supervision to staff on designated shift. Works with Managers to improve quality of care and customer/staff satisfaction. Functions as the primary Charge Nurse and develops systems to ensure efficient work-flow and collaborative relationships with MDs. Maintains open communication with managers regarding patients, family, personnel and issues. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years in acute pediatrics; a minimum of 1 year in Charge Nurse Role. Expert clinical knowledge of unit’s patient population. Ability to lead others. Good organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing.

Education/Licensure/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or BSN required or in progress with completion within 5 years. California RN Licenses; Current CPR Card. National Certification Required
