The Nurse Coordinator in the Allergy Immunology Clinic facilitates the nursing care of patients through assessing and upgrading the quality and effectiveness of nursing care provided. Accepts accountability for maintaining and upgrading nursing practice standards. Assumes accountability for program coordination and care coordination for a specific population. Ensures that patients move along the health care continuum assisting families with their plan of care to achieve best outcomes. Supports and develops a comprehensive nursing plan of care for a specific patient population including those patients who are eligible and able to participate in any appropriate research. Coordinates research trails and provides the nursing support to clinical trials that have a nursing element as per the protocols.
Qualifications: BSN from an NLN accredited school of nursing. Three years pediatric experience preferred. One year specialty area experience preferred. License, Registration or Certification required: California RN license, AHA CPR card, PALs Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent communication and written skills.
