Overview

Position Summary: The Supervisor, Clinical Services provides operational and clinical supervision for inpatient and outpatient respiratory care services. Provides front-line supervision to staff while on the unit. Collaborates with the Manager to implement plans addressing performance management, quality improvement, advancement of care delivery, and customer/staff satisfaction. Serves as a work area leader and develops systems to ensure efficient workflow and collaborative relationships with physicians and other members of the interprofessional team. Maintains open communication with manager regarding patients, family, personnel and departmental issues.

The ideal candidate needs to be open and flexible to accommodate the department needs - 4/10hr Evening or Day shifts per week. Hours will vary: 10pm-8:30am or 6am-4:30pm. One full weekend per month and will be talking call.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in neonatal pediatric respiratory care preferred. Ability to lead others and facilitate and resolve conflict. Good organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing. Previous leadership experience in Respiratory care preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s degree and California Respiratory Care license plus AHA BLS and PALS and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist certification required.
