Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary

Coordinates the care of patients who are undergoing solid organ transplant on an inpatient and outpatient basis. On call for patient issues and donor coordination as scheduled. Functions as a resource for patients and staff about the transplantation process. Maintains communication with referring physician’s pre and post-transplant. Is an active member of the multidisciplinary Transplant Team.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience

2+ years inpatient or outpatient pediatric experience. Solid organ Transplant experience preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Education/Licensure/Certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.

Current CA RN license, BCLS, PALS
