The Manager, Nursing Ambulatory Clinic has the primary responsibility for the operational, clinical and educational functions of clinical staff in the assigned areas.
This position manages 20-25 staff members and has oversight of four clinical divisions including Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Medical Genetics and Dermatology. Collaborates with 30 faculty members who complete an estimated 20,000 clinical visits per year in a shared clinic location at the CHLA Main Campus. The Manager will supervise all clinical staff and plan programs that facilitate the development of staff while maintaining a team approach to the shared responsibilities. Collaborates with the physician leadership and clinical staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the Ambulatory Care Services areas. Responsible for maintaining skills of the staff and ensures that all policies/procedures are age and/or developmentally appropriate. The Manager will function as a change agent and will demonstrate commitment to a patient and family focused model of care.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
2+ years of recent pediatric experience required. Previous supervisory experience
along with previous fiscal management experience highly preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree is required as well as a current CA RN License.
National Certification Required
BLS And PALS Required through American Heart Association
