The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) is a registered nurse who shares responsibility with the principal investigators to ensure that clinical investigations are conducted in accordance with the requirements of all regulatory agencies. The CRN insures that activities and approvals required for the protection of human subjects by the IRB (entitled "Committee on Clinical Investigations" at CHLA) are completed, that required data and documents are completed, that patients and families are prepared for participation in clinical protocols, and that effective methods for protocol management are used in collaboration with the attending MDs and other members of the research team.
License and certification requirement: Current registered nurse licensure in the state of California. Current AHA CPR training Qualifications:18 months clinical nursing experience required. Pediatric experience preferred.
Clinical trials experience preferred. Skills Required: Computer literacy. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is desired.
