Job Description

The Transition Nurse Resident / Infusion Center is an exciting opportunity for the experienced nurse to transition to an Infusion Center Nurse. The Transition Residency that starts in February 2020, ranging from 12 weeks to 16 weeks depending on the area of specialty, includes competency-driven clinical immersion and curriculum, as well as formal mentoring and debriefing.

AHA CPR, PALS, and APHON Chemotherapy/Biologic Provider Certification required. Must be able to adapt to frequent changes in daily assignment based on needs of the patients served. Team player attitude and excellent organizational skills is a must.

Each transition RN receives an individualized learning plan for competency acquisition based on a performance gap analysis process.

With the supervision of a preceptor you will conduct patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluate care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs as outlined below. You will collaborates with other health care team, as guided by their preceptor, members in the delivery of care while consistently demonstrating commitment to a patient and family focused model of care.

Minimum Education/Training Required: AHA CPR, PALS, and APHON Chemotherapy/Biologic Provider Certification required.

Bachelor degree with BSN or MSN is required and CA RN license

Minimum Experience Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse in an Oncology setting
