Job Role Summary Responsible for providing primary healthcare in the form of family medicine at the Action health Center, the Adolescent Health Division of the Marion County Public Health Department; include both  Adult and Pediatric medicine.  The physician will ensure continuity of patient care through health maintenance activities, including evaluation/early detection and management of problems and appropriate referrals. The physician will either be board eligible or board certified through The American Board of Family Medicine or  dual boarded through the American board of Internal Medicine /American Board of Pediatrics. Qualifications M.D. or D.O. attainment from an accredited U.S. Medical School or Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Completion of Internship and residency in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Board Certification eligible or Board Certified   Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Critical thinking skills Good Written and Oral communication Ability to work well across disciplines Computer literacy Ability to teach medical students, medical residents, and other students. Diplomacy  and Tact in dealing with Staff and clients Working Environment Must be able to perform job duties in environment with moderate noise level (ex. Business office with computers and printers, light traffic) Has exposure to communicable disease; combative parents/families in stressful situations. Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
