It’s Work That Matters.
The Supervisor for Ambulatory Services will manage the RN’s, LVN’s and MA’s for UCEED and various teen clinics as well provide operational and clinical supervision for a work area or unit. Provides front-line supervision to staff while on the unit. Collaborates with the Manager to implement plans addressing performance improvement, quality improvement, advancement of care delivery, and customer/staff satisfaction. Serves as a work area leader and develops systems to ensure efficient workflow and collaborative relationships with physicians and other members of the interprofessional team. Maintains open communication with manager regarding patients, family, personnel and departmental issues. Will work in off-site locations as needed.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in pediatrics required and with ambulatory preferred. Expert clinical knowledge of unit’s patient population. Ability to lead others. Good organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing. Be able to work with various teen communities such as homelessness, transgender, HIV, high-risk behavorial health.
Education/Licensure/Certification: BSN, California RN License, Current CPR and PALS Card. National Certification Required.
