It’s Work That Matters
Under general supervision the Registered Nurse in the 5 West Medical Surgical Step Down Unit serves as a registered nurse, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. 5 West is a 30 bed unit for children with diabetes, infection diseases and pulmonary conditions with complication. This unit can accommodate up to 10 ventilators patients who are stable enough to be outside an ICU setting.
Qualifications: Must have 2 years pediatric experience in an acute care setting. Ventilator, bipap, and diabetic- DKA management experience preferred. BSN degree is required.
License Certification and Education: CA RN License, PALS and CPR throught AHA
