Job Description

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Position Summary:
      • Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assembles needed supplies/equipment before and during the surgical procedure while maintaining standards of care established for the patient scheduled for a procedure. The surgical technician sets up the procedure, anticipates the physicians needs and hands supplies and instruments to the physician. Takes assigned call.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • High school or equivalent
      • Completion of an anatomy and physiology course preferred
    • Minimum Experience
      • On-the-job training
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • BLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment
      • Certified Surgical Tech (CRT) certification preferred
