Current RN licensure in Virginia Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
Current RN Licensure in Virginia AHA BLS HCP Certification Achieve and maintain a certification in Nursing (CFRN, CCRN, or NCC)
Maintain a certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of five (5) years of current experience as a Registered Nurse.
A minimum of (2) years as a Registered Nurse in an intensive care setting and/or previous flight Registered Nurse experience
Previous experience in use of specific equipment used for patient care (e.g. monitor, infusion pumps, etc.)
Experience PREFERRED:
Experience with language skills appropriate for the setting (health-related documents, business reports)
Academic healthcare experience
Previous experience in pre-hospital transport care
Education/training REQUIRED: (Note: work experience may be considered in lieu of credentials not required by law with HR approval. Work experience must be specific to role)
Clinical Nurse IV: Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (unless grandfathered under previous requirements); Certification in specialty area
Education/training PREFERRED: Clinical Nurse IV: Completion of a Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Independent action(s) required:
Understand TJC and VCUHS standards, policies and procedures.
Understand the LifeEvac Standards of Care and policies.
Document patient care effectively.
Function under direct and indirect medical control in hospital and pre-hospital setting.
May be exposed to hazardous situations prior to and during transport.
Additional position requirements:
Required to work weekends and some holidays.
Rotating Shifts.
May be exposed to extreme weather conditions
Employees may be required to use their own vehicle to perform essential functions of this position and comply with the Health System’s motor vehicle policy
