Job Summary:

Working under the Resuscitation Program Manager, the Resuscitation Data Coordinator is an RN who coordinates the Resuscitation data of University Hospital patients who suffer a Cardiopulmonary Arrest or Medical Emergency. The incumbent demonstrates leadership abilities, problem solving capabilities, clear and effective communication skills, and the ability to function independently in a complex health care environment. Will also demonstrates the ability to sustain effective relationships with Nursing and other interdisciplinary colleagues, and coordinates Get with the Guidelines data abstraction, data entry and interpretation. The Data Coordinator tracks and maintains the database, and presents data in a formal setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) RN, Bachelor's degree and two years of clinical acute care RN experience required (preferably in critical care in an adult setting). Consideration may be given to applicants who possess an Associate's degree in Nursing and fours years of clinical acute care RN experience (preferably in critical care in an adult setting). CPR-BLS and ACLS certification required by time of appointment. Familiarity with American Heart Association's Get with the Guidelines-Resuscitation core and quality measures required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred. Candidates with a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred. Experience with chart abstraction and data interpretation preferred.
