  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Position Summary:
      • This position is a part of Salina Regional Health Center's Medical Assistant (MA) Program with Purdue University Global. Upon hire the MA Student will actively enroll in the online MA program through Purdue University Global. Under the supervision of a professional nurse, team lead, or supervisor in charge of the department, the MA Student assists departments in clinic setting to provide quality care. This includes scheduling patient appointments, taking vital signs, transporting patients, clerical support, observation & surveillance to prevent patient injury, and helping the professional nurse with interventions. The MA Student also interacts with other departments as needed and performs cleaning, and restocks supplies, all under the direction of their appropriate supervisor. Upon graduation of the MA Program, the student will be eligible to take the exam to earn the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification through American Medical Technologists (AMT).
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • Completion of High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum Experience
      • Physician office experience preferred
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider) within 90 days of hire.
      • Certified Nurse Aide preferred
