Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Nursing for Advanced Practice Services assumes overall responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, plans and standards of the organization and patient care services within their defined areas of responsibility. Specific duties include management and evaluation of clinical operations, customer and staff satisfaction, quality management, standards, certification and accreditation activities, professional practice activities, nursing staff education, and developing community relationships for the Advanced Practice Services department. Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required. Master's degree in health related field required. Minimum of 7 years post-licensure advanced clinical practice experience in an acute care environment to include 5 years of management experience in a health care environment which encompasses medical staff relationships, health planning, quality management, human resource development and management required. Effective leadership, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills required. CPR-BLS required by time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

National leadership certification preferred.
