Position Summary: The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner II in the Diabetes and Obesity Research Program will be part of a team delivering telehealth services to pediatric weight management patients. Providers will be based at CHLA and provide both video-conferencing and in-person care. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatrics, obesity and weight management, and pharmacotherapy. Experience with telehealth and video-conferencing an asset. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Masters of Science degree in Nursing from an N.L.N. accredited graduate school of nursing required. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing for “hold out as a Nurse Practitioner” as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code. Current California Registered Nurse License and current certification as a Nurse Practitioner. BCLS/PALS National Certification as an PNP in specialty field Furnishing license.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years pediatric experience preferred 2 years’ experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner required
