|Job Summary:||The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Inpatient Rehabilitation - Downtown 2N Unit is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned nursing area(s) in order to facilitate and deliver comprehensive quality nursing care and to manage the environment in which care is given. The Assistant Nurse Manager prioritizes tasks for nursing staff, deals with staffing issues and problems, assists with goals, planning, customer service, standards, certification and accreditation, administrative and budget management, personnel resource management, communication, and quality activities. Ensures adherence to hospital or department and university policies and to nursing policies, procedures, standards, and practices.|
Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Nursing required. NYS License/Registration or eligible as a Registered Nurse required. Two years of post-licensure acute care experience (preferably in specialty area) required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. CPR-BLS successfully completed before hire.
Nursing Leadership certification strongly preferred. Other specialty based certifications for nursing leadership (i.e. CCRN, CEN) are also encouraged and supported. Prior leadership experience preferred.
Monday - Friday, off hours between 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM
