Job Summary: | The Nurse Manager for the 7A-Orthopedics unit will assume primary leadership role and management of defined clinical nursing areas to facilitate and deliver comprehensive nursing care and to manage the environment in which care is given. Major functions include: goals, planning, customer service/marketing, standards, certification and accreditation, administrative management, budget/cost containment, communication, and education. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Nursing required. NYS Licensed/Registered Nurse (or eligible) required. Three years of post-licensure RN acute care experience (preferably in specialty area) to include leadership experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS) successfully completed before hire. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Nursing Leadership certification strongly preferred. Other specialty based certifications for nursing leadership (i.e. CCRN, CEN) are also encouraged and supported. Masters degree preferred. |
