Job Summary: |
The Associate Director of Nursing for Administrative Supervisors & Staffers will provide overall leadership for the Administrative Supervisors at both the downtown and community campus, along with the staffer support specialist team. This includes: human resource management of the department, ongoing process improvements and quality initiatives, responsible for communication with leadership and ongoing staff development. They will also represent Hospital Administration in directing and coordinating administrative, clinical, personnel, and operational activities. They coordinate patient flow throughout the organization in order to meet patient care needs and maximize bed resources. They provide direction in the decision-making process in difficult and non-routine situations; promote collaboration amongst the patient care team and foster professional development; serve as a resource regarding clinical, administrative, human resource/management and development, and operational issues; and efficiently utilize resources while being fiscally responsible. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse required. Masters degree in Nursing or healthcare related field required. (if Masters degree is non-Nursing, Bachelors in Nursing required.) Minimum of seven years post licensure acute care RN experience to include five years of progressively responsible nursing management/supervisory experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, computer, presentation and analytical skills required. CPR-BLS required by time of appointment. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Recent University Hospital and Community Hospital leadership experience preferred. Masters degree preferred. |
