Vidant Medical Center serves as the flagship teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. The Nurse Residency Program at Vidant Medical Center (VMC) achieved accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation Practice Transition Programs through July 2024. VMC earned this accreditation for its outstanding work in nurse education.
