Memorial hospitals offer a 10-month Nurse Residency Program (NRP) designed to support the transition of all new graduate nurses from novice nurse to competent nursing professional. This program is developed from the national Vizient/AANC NRP curriculum, an evidence-based program customized to reflect the values and mission of Memorial Health System.
The NRP at Memorial will provide education, support and guidance to new graduate nurses as they begin their careers at Memorial hospitals. It is a 10-month long professional development curriculum for new graduate nurses that culminates in an evidence-based poster presentation.
The professional development curriculum includes once a month 4-hour paid sessions for 10 months that participants are expected to attend.
